More than 15,500 industry professionals attended the 55th TextilExpo fair in Moscow. It was the largest number of professional visitors from the regions of Russia, the CIS countries and the EAEU.
Participants of the exhibition were not ready for such a high interest from buyers. So many producers were forced to print more advertising materials in emergency mode, deliver products and call in more stuff.
Of course, the pandemic has made its own adjustments. Many permanent participants of the exhibition couldn’t come to Moscow this year. That’s why the exposition of fair reduced in comparison with previous years.
For example, in 2020 the fair brought together more than 1500 participants from Russia and other 26 countries. This year there were three times less — only 300 participants from 18 countries. But the the number of visitors remained at a good level — last year there were 6,500 more.
According to statistics, this year 20% of visitors came to TextilExpo for a first time. Organizers also attribute this to the pandemic. They think that coronavirus has destroyed past business ties and producers were forced to search new in different places.
55th federal wholesale fair TextilExpo was held in Moscow in pavilions 55 and 57 of VDNH. The fair lasted for four days from 16 to 19 february. In 57th pavilion were submitted finished products such as table and bed linen, interior items, accessories and clothes. 55th pavilion was set aside for the needs of manufactures. There they could find technical equipment, raw materials and furniture for producing.
In total in the fair there were presented six theme salons — equipment and techniques, raw and technical materials, fabrics and furniture, knitted fabrics, clothes and linen, home textile.
